The company will launch six different models with varying amounts of storage space. Entry level units (Wi-Fi only) with 16GB of storage will cost $499; 32GB of storage will cost $599; and 64GB of storage will cost cost $699.
iPads with Wi-Fi and 3G will cost $629 with 16GB of storage space; $729 with 32GB of storage space; and $829 64GB of storage space.
3G data connections will be provided by AT&T, and you won’t be tied into any sort of contract. For $14.99 per month, you’ll get 250MB of data, and for $29.99, you’ll get an unlimited data plan (or at least whatever AT&T’s definition of one is).
Wi-Fi models will ship by the end of March, and units with 3G built in will be released at the end of April.
Apple will release three official accessories for the iPad: a dock, a keyboard with a built-in dock, and a case that opens up to be a stand. Apple’s wireless Bluetooth keyboard will also work with the iPad.gamespot
